Duncan & Associates operates a hire pool of equipment, available to clients on a worldwide basis.

The equipment covers two distinct areas: benthic sampling and water sampling. The following list of equipment is available for hire on a weekly basis.

Benthic Samplers

• Offset Day Grab with a galvanised frame stainless steel bucket and package of lead ballast weights.

• Ekman Grab Sampler, stainless steel with mild steel weights and messenger.

• Biological Dredge (short harness), mild steel with mesh bag and rubber chafer sheets. Weight 27 kilos.

• Biological Dredge (long harness), mild steel with mesh bag and rubber chafer sheets. Weight 23 kilos.

• Shipeck Grab Sampler. mild steel.

• Smith McIntyre Grab Sampler, mild steel.

• Gravity Corer, 100 kilos weight, 2 metre long sampling tube.

• Gravity Corer, 65 kilos weight, 1 metre long sampling tube.

• Gilson Corer with tube lengths of 300mm or 470mm x 55mm, 11 kilos weight, deployable with rope or pole.

• Van Veen Grab Sampler in stainless steel - 0.025m sq. sampling area.

• Van Veen Grab Sampler in stainless steel - 0.045m sq. sampling area.

• Van Veen Grab Sampler in stainless steel - 0.1m sq. sampling area.

Water Samplers

• Ruttner Water Sampler 1 litre capacity, brass with acrylic tube.

• Van Dorn Water Samplers, both horizontal and vertical - capacities 1, 2 and 3 litre.
